Travira 34x48" Rectangular Bistro Table
A rectangular bistro table measuring 49 by 35 inches at dining height, on a 26.5 inch weighted base. The rectangle is what you want when the space is a run rather than a square: against a wall, along a balcony, down the side of a pool.
- 49 by 35 inches, not square. A rectangle fits a narrow terrace where a 48 inch round will not. Four chairs sit two and two along the long sides.
- Eight tops across three materials. Four high pressure laminate finishes, two Lite-Core and two Tekwood, over the same Flint powder coated aluminum base.
- A 26.5 inch base under a long top. Wider than the 23 inch base Oxford Garden uses on the square and round pedestals, because the top overhangs further.
- Heavy by design. The base carton alone is 35 lb and a Lite-Core top carton is 106 lb. Assembled with Lite-Core this table is 136 lb.

The Travira rectangular bistro table is a dining height pedestal table measuring 49 by 35 inches assembled. It is built for the spaces a round table wastes, and like the rest of the Travira tables it puts its weight into the base rather than the top.

Table Top Options
Travira tables are built on one powder coated aluminum base and offered with more than one top material. The base, the footprint and the table height do not change between them. What changes is the top, and the top is what sets the look and the weight.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Frame finish. Flint, a gray powder coat, identified by the PC.F suffix in Oxford Garden's item codes.
HPL tops. High pressure laminate. The sheet is non porous, so spilled wine and sunscreen sit on the surface rather than soaking in, and it is never sealed or oiled.
Tekwood tops. Oxford Garden's wood grain composite, offered in Natural and Vintage. It reads as timber across the table but takes no annual treatment and does not silver the way real teak does.
Lite-Core tops. A cast core top offered on Travira only, in Ash and Charcoal. It is by a wide margin the heaviest of the three: on the Travira cafe tables a Lite-Core top carton runs 68 lb against 30 lb for Tekwood.

Care and Maintenance
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
HPL and Lite-Core tops. Non porous. Wipe down with mild soap and water. No sealer, no oil, no wax.
Tekwood tops. Same routine. Tekwood is a composite, so it does not need the annual oiling a natural wood top would, and it does not weather to gray.
Off season. The table can stay outside all year.

What is the difference between the top materials?
They are different tops on an identical base. HPL is a high pressure laminate. Tekwood is a wood grain composite. Lite-Core is offered on Travira only. The footprint, the height and the frame do not change; the top sets the look and most of the weight.
What color is the frame?
Flint, a soft gray powder coat over marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the welds and corners where outdoor furniture usually fails first. The PC.F on each item code is the Flint coat.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. It arrives in 2 cartons with the top packed separately from the base, and the two bolt together on site. Plan on two people. The top carton is the heavy one and it is awkward rather than difficult.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust, and none of the three top materials needs sealing, oiling or waxing. Wash it with mild soap and water. Nothing has to come indoors at the end of the season.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb only, so arrange help for moving it through a gate or onto a deck.
Why does the name say 34 by 48 when it measures 49 by 35?
The name is Oxford Garden's nominal top size. The assembled table measures 49 by 35 inches, and those are the figures we list.
Will four chairs fit?
Yes, two on each long side. The 49 inch length gives each of those two seats roughly 24 inches, and the pedestal base is set inboard so the chairs are not fighting a leg. The short ends are too narrow to seat.
What else is in the Travira collection?
