Travira 34" Square Bistro Table
A 34 inch square dining height table on the wide 23 inch base. It is the largest square bistro top Oxford Garden draws for Travira and the point at which four place settings stop being a negotiation: 34 inches of edge per person, one to a side.
- One person to a side, properly. Thirty four inches of edge each, against 26 on the square bistro table below it. Elbows stop being a topic.
- The 23 inch base. Six inches wider underfoot than the small bistro tables, which is what a 92 lb table needs to stand on.
- Six tops. Four HPL colorways and two slatted Tekwood on the same Flint powder coated column.
- Ninety two and a half pounds with an HPL top. This is a table that stays where you put it for the season.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
HPL tops. High pressure laminate: paper and resin fused under heat and pressure into a dense sheet. It does not take a water ring, it does not silver in the sun and a hot mug will not mark it. Four colorways: Marshland Oak, code D, Enigma, code G, Starlight, code S, and Skyline, code Y.
Tekwood tops. Slatted Tekwood in Natural, code N, or Vintage, code V. The slatted top drains, which is why it is the lighter of the two by several pounds.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 102 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Table top. Soap, water and a cloth. HPL is non porous, so a spill sits on the surface rather than soaking in. Tekwood slats rinse clean and drain between the boards. Skip abrasive powders on both.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people does it seat?
Four, one to a side, with 34 inches of edge each. That is more room per person than most indoor dining tables give you. Six is not realistic on a square this size.
Can one person move it?
Not easily. Assembled it is 84 to 92.5 lb, and the base alone is 52 lb. Decide where it lives before you bolt it together.
Which chairs suit it?
The Travira Armchair at 22 inches wide fits one to a side here, which it cannot do on the 26 inch square. Seat height is 17 inches against a 29.5 inch top, so 12.5 inches of clearance.
HPL or Tekwood: what is the real difference?
Surface and weight. HPL is a solid, non porous laminate sheet, so a spill sits on top of it and a hot mug leaves no mark. Tekwood is slatted, so rain drains straight through and the table is a few pounds lighter.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. It arrives as three cartons, top, column and base, and the three bolt together. Two people and fifteen minutes. Unpack all three before you start so you can check the top for transit damage while the shipment is still on the receipt.

Can it live outside all year?
Yes. Marine grade aluminum does not rust, so the frame is not depending on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. Wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty and leave it where it is.
