Travira 24" Cafe Bistro Table
The cafe frame: a 24.5 inch square top at the same 29.5 inch dining height as the rest of the Travira bistro range, on a lighter base that brings the whole table in at 18.5 lb. It is the table you buy ten of for a terrace, not the one you anchor a roof deck with.
- Eighteen and a half pounds, assembled. A third of the weight of the pedestal bistro tables. One person sets out a row of them and stacks the room differently tomorrow.
- Two cartons, not three. The top ships in one box and the base assembly in the other, 24 lb the pair with an HPL top.
- Dining height at 29.5 inches. Despite the name it is a bistro table, not a bar table. Pair it with a 17 inch seat.
- Six tops. Four HPL colorways and two Tekwood, on the same Flint powder coated base.

The Travira 24 inch Cafe Bistro Table is the light frame square table in Oxford Garden's Travira program. Same 29.5 inch dining height as the pedestal bistro tables, at roughly a third of the weight.
Manufacturer item code TV24FTA with a letter for the top you choose. Frames carry the Flint powder coat.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
HPL tops. High pressure laminate: paper and resin fused under heat and pressure into a dense sheet. It does not take a water ring, it does not silver in the sun and a hot mug will not mark it. Four colorways: Marshland Oak, Enigma, Starlight and Skyline.
Tekwood tops. Slatted Tekwood in Natural or Vintage. The slatted top drains, which is why it is the lighter of the two by several pounds.
Frame finish. Flint powder coat on the column and base.

Frame Finish
Travira is powder coated marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints and around the fastener heads where outdoor furniture usually gives up first.

Care and Maintenance
Table top. Soap, water and a cloth. HPL is non porous, so a spill sits on the surface rather than soaking in. Tekwood slats rinse clean and drain between the boards. Skip abrasive powders on both.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a bar table?
No. The name says cafe but the height says bistro: 29.5 inches, which is dining height. The Travira bar tables are 41.5 inches. Always check the listed height rather than the word in the name.
Why is it so much lighter than the other bistro tables?
It uses the cafe base rather than the 30 lb pedestal base. Assembled it is 18.5 lb against 52.5 lb for the 26 inch square pedestal table with the same style of top.
Does that make it less stable?
It is easier to move, which cuts both ways. On a sheltered terrace or indoors under cover it is ideal. On an exposed deck, the pedestal bistro tables or a Lite-Core top hold their ground better.
HPL or Tekwood: what is the real difference?
Surface and weight. HPL is a solid, non porous laminate sheet, so a spill sits on top of it and a hot mug leaves no mark. Tekwood is slatted, so rain drains straight through and the table is a few pounds lighter.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. It arrives as two cartons, one for the top and one for the base assembly, which bolt together. Check the top for transit damage before you sign, while the shipment is still the driver's problem.
