Seavo Collection
Seavo Bar Stool
Seavo at bar height, with a 31 inch seat and a Sunbrella pad on a curved powder coated aluminum frame. At 25.75 inches wide it is broader than the collection's dining chairs, because a bar stool has to carry you without arms to lean on.
- A 31 inch seat. Bar height, sized for a counter or bar surface around 42 inches. It leaves about 11 inches of knee room under the top.
- 25.75 inches across. Wider than the Seavo dining chairs, which is what gives an armless stool its stability when you turn to talk to the person beside you.
- A 2 inch Sunbrella pad. 16.75" square, thin enough that it does not perch you higher than the frame intends but soft enough for an evening at the bar.
- Two stocked fabrics. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are stocked for Seavo, and other Sunbrella fabrics are made to order.
Details and specifications
Product Details
The Seavo Bar Stool takes the collection's curved aluminum frame to bar height and adds a Sunbrella seat pad. It is the widest seat among Seavo's dining and bar pieces, because an armless stool needs width where a dining chair has arms.
Manufacturer item code SVBST. The cushion fabric is chosen when you order.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive, and it stays light enough that one person can move the piece without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Feet. Leg end caps are fitted at the factory so the frame does not mark decking, tile or stone when it is slid rather than lifted.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.
What Is Included
- One Seavo Bar Stool on a powder coated aluminum frame
- One seat cushion, 16.75" W x 16.75" D x 2" H, in the fabric you select
The powder coat finish is specified at order time and confirmed on your acknowledgment.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The powder coated aluminum frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What counter height does a 31 inch seat suit?
A bar surface around 42 inches. If your outdoor island is 36 inches that is counter height and this stool will sit you too high; you would want a seat nearer 24 to 26 inches instead.
How many fit along my bar?
Each stool is 25.75 inches wide, which is broad for a stool. Allow about 28 to 30 inches apiece so people can get on and off. A seven foot bar takes three comfortably rather than four.
Why is the stool wider than the dining chairs?
Because it has no arms and sits 31 inches up. Width at the seat and at the foot is what keeps an armless stool feeling planted when you swivel to talk to whoever is next to you.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are both stocked for Seavo, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order in whichever you pick.
What does the frame actually look like?
The Seavo frame is drawn around a set of intentional curves on a lean aluminum section, which is what makes a chair this light look substantial. Oxford Garden describes the collection as balancing neoclassical and contemporary form, and the curve of the back is where you see it.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The powder coated aluminum frame can stay out. The 2 inch pad lasts much longer stored dry or covered during long stretches when the bar is not in use.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton is 26 by 21 by 44 inches, too tall for a parcel carrier even holding a single stool, so the carrier contacts you to arrange a window.
What else is in the Seavo collection?
An armchair and a side chair for dining, a bar stool, and a club chair, loveseat and sofa for lounging. The three lounge pieces share a 17.75 inch seat and 31.5 inches of depth, so they combine into one group without a step between them.
