Ponte 39" Square Dining Table
A 39 inch square high pressure laminate top on a welded aluminum frame at standard dining height. It is the larger of the two Ponte squares, which gives each of the four seats a few more inches of table without changing the footprint enough to matter on a normal terrace.
- 39 inches square, four generous seats. Three inches a side over the 36 inch Ponte. That is the difference between four place settings and four place settings with a carafe and a board in the middle.
- An HPL top, not a timber one. High pressure laminate does not take a water ring, does not need oiling and does not silver in the sun. Three finishes are offered: Enigma, Marshland Oak and Skyline.
- Adjustable feet and leg glides. The feet screw up and down so the table sits flat on an uneven terrace, and the glides keep the legs from scoring stone or decking.
- Optional umbrella hole. An optional 2 inch (50mm) umbrella hole with a plug is available, so the same table works with a shade or without one.

Table Top Options
All three high pressure laminate tops come at no extra cost over one another. The frame, the dimensions and the construction do not change between them, so the choice is purely which surface you want.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Powder coated aluminum, welded from heavy gauge stock with die cast components and stainless steel hardware. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Top. High pressure laminate. Layers of paper and resin are fused under heat and pressure into one dense sheet, which is why an HPL top stays flat outdoors, does not absorb a spill, does not need sealing and does not silver in the sun the way timber does.
Feet. Adjustable feet with leg glides, so the table can be leveled on an uneven terrace without packing anything under a leg, and so it does not score a stone or a deck board when it is moved.
Frame finish. The Ponte tables are built in Oxford Garden's powder coat range, and you choose the frame color when you order.

Care and Maintenance
HPL top. Soap, water and a cloth. The surface is non porous, so a wet glass leaves nothing behind. Avoid abrasive powders and solvent cleaners, which dull the sheen.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. There is nothing in an HPL top on an aluminum frame that rots, rusts or needs refinishing. The table can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people does it seat?
Four, comfortably. A 39 inch square gives each seat a little under twenty inches of table edge, which is a full place setting with room to spare, and the 29.5 inch height clears a standard dining chair.
What is HPL?
High pressure laminate: layers of paper and resin fused under heat and pressure into a single dense sheet. Outdoors that gives you a top that stays flat, does not absorb a spill, does not need oiling or sealing and holds its color through direct sun.
Is there a Starlight top for this table?
No. Oxford Garden offers Enigma, Marshland Oak and Skyline on the 36 inch and 39 inch Ponte squares. Starlight is offered only on the 86 inch Ponte table, so we do not offer it here.
What color is the frame?
You choose it, at no extra cost, from Oxford Garden's powder coat range. We confirm the finish with you before the order goes in.
Does it arrive assembled?
The carton is 41 x 41 x 6 inches against a finished height of 29.5 inches, so the table ships flat rather than built. Oxford Garden provides a Ponte table assembly guide covering the frame and the top.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. An HPL top on a powder coated aluminum frame has nothing in it that rots, rusts or needs refinishing, and the adjustable feet keep it level on a terrace that moves with the seasons. Wash it with soap and water and leave it where it is.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, at 60 lb. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver stops at the curb, so plan the route to the terrace before the day.
Will a 39 inch square seat six at a push?
No. Four is the honest number. Two people to a 39 inch side leaves each of them under twenty inches and puts their chairs into the corners. For six or more, the 86 inch Ponte is the table in this range.
