Orso Collection
Orso Club Chair
The lounge member of the Orso family: a wider, lower woven shell on an aluminum frame, with an 18 inch seat meant for sitting back rather than eating at a table. At 28.75 inches across it takes the space of a real armchair rather than a patio chair.
- Lounge geometry, not dining geometry. 28.75 inches wide and 28.5 inches deep with an 18 inch seat, against the dining chair's 23 inches and 17.5. It is a different posture, not a bigger version of the same chair.
- One continuous woven shell. Seat, back and sides are woven as one form over the aluminum, which is what lets the chair be open and structural at the same time.
- Two weave colorways. Sand and Shadow, at no extra cost, matching the rest of the Orso collection.
- Arrives fully assembled. It ships as one piece and needs nothing done to it.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive, and it stays light enough that one person can move the piece without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Weave. All weather resin wicker, hand woven over the aluminum seat form. Oxford Garden weaves Orso in two colorways, Sand and Shadow. The strand is synthetic and colored the whole way through rather than surface dyed, so it does not absorb water, go brittle in sun or show a pale core where it gets scuffed.
Feet. Leg end caps are fitted at the factory so the frame does not mark decking, tile or stone when it is slid rather than lifted.

Care and Maintenance
Resin wicker. Hose it off, then work mild soap and lukewarm water into the weave with a soft brush and rinse. Grit trapped between strands is what wears a weave, not weather.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The powder coated aluminum frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Orso armchair?
The club chair is nearly six inches wider, three inches deeper and sits half an inch higher, and it has no relationship to a table. The armchair is a dining chair. This is a lounge chair you put around a low table or a fire pit.
Does it come with a cushion?
No. The club chair is sold as the woven chair, with no cushion. If you want a pad made for it, call us and we will ask Oxford Garden what they can quote.
Which weave color will I get?
Sand or Shadow, at no extra cost. Tell us which at order time and we confirm it on your acknowledgment before the chair is built.
Do people buy these in pairs?
Usually. Two club chairs facing each other across a low table is the common Orso lounge arrangement, and at 28.75 inches wide a pair plus a table wants roughly eight feet of terrace to look right.
Is the wicker natural rattan?
No. It is a synthetic strand colored through before weaving, chosen because it survives sun and rain. Natural rattan outdoors bleaches, then splits, usually inside two seasons.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. Neither the aluminum frame nor the resin weave absorbs water, so there is nothing in the chair that freezing can damage. Rinse grit out of the weave a couple of times a season.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton measures 38 by 29 by 40 inches, so the carrier will contact you to arrange a window rather than leaving it at the door.
What else is in the Orso collection?
A woven armchair, side chair, bar chair and club chair, plus sling versions of the armchair, side chair and bar chair. The sling chairs share the frame family but have their own item codes, so they are bought as their own piece rather than as a fabric choice on a woven one.
