Nette Collection
Nette Sofa
Seven feet of hand woven strap on a powder coated aluminum frame, and the largest piece in the Nette collection. It keeps the group's 17.25 inch seat and 35 inch depth across three seats, and at 59.5 pounds it weighs about half what a comparable teak sofa does.
- 84.5 inches across, three real seats. Not a loveseat stretched a few inches. The proportion and the cushion layout are drawn for three.
- 59.5 pounds for a seven foot sofa. Aluminum and strap rather than solid timber, which is what makes a piece this size movable by two people.
- The same seat height as the rest of the group. 17.25 inches and 35 inches deep, identical to the club chair and loveseat, so nothing steps up or down.
- Four kinds of cushion fabric. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are stocked Sunbrellas, Seafoam and Tangerine are the stocked olefin, and any other Sunbrella is made to order.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on its coating staying perfect in order to survive, and it stays light enough that two people can move a sofa without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Strap. Nette's seat and back are woven from flat outdoor strap, hand run over the aluminum frame. Water passes straight through the gaps rather than sitting in foam, and the strap carries its color through the material. Oxford Garden weaves this strap on two collections only, Nette and Malti.
Cushions. The Sunbrella fabrics are solution dyed acrylic, where the color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth. The olefin, in Seafoam and Tangerine, is a different fiber and not a thinner cushion.
What Is Included
- One Nette Sofa on a powder coated aluminum frame with hand woven strap
- Seat and back cushions in the fabric you choose
Strap color and frame powder coat are chosen when you order and confirmed on your acknowledgment.
Cushion Fabric Choices
Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical whichever fabric you choose. Three come in set fabrics, so they ship in a known cloth; the made to order option is the only one that is not stocked.
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Bliss Linen | Sunbrella acrylic, stocked for Nette. |
| Mainstreet Dove | Sunbrella acrylic, stocked for Nette. |
| Seafoam or Tangerine | Oxford Garden olefin, a different fiber from the Sunbrella fabrics. Tell us which color you want and we will put it on your acknowledgment. |
| Other Sunbrella fabrics, made to order | Your choice from the wider Sunbrella range, made to order in the fabric you pick. |
Own fabric orders are quoted by phone, because the cost depends on the material, the yardage and the run. We will confirm the quote with Oxford Garden before anything is ordered.
Strap and Frame Colors
The woven strap is the thing that makes Nette look like Nette, and Oxford Garden runs it on two collections only: Nette and Malti. Nine strap colors are available.
| Strap color |
|---|
| Pewter |
| Seagrass |
| Horizon |
| Garnet |
| Clay |
| Wren |

The frame powder coat is chosen separately. We confirm the full order details on your acknowledgment before the order goes in.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring them in or cover the piece when it is not in use for long stretches.
Strap. Hose it down and let it dry. It drains on its own and does not need to come inside.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the olefin a lesser cushion?
No. Olefin is a different fiber from Sunbrella acrylic, and Oxford Garden stocks it in Seafoam and Tangerine. The cushion itself is the same cushion, so olefin is a color and fiber choice rather than a cheaper build.
Can I choose any Sunbrella fabric?
Yes. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are stocked, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order. Call 631 678-6506 and we will confirm the fabric before the order goes in.
How many people does it seat?
Three. At 84.5 inches wide with a 17.25 inch seat it is a full size outdoor sofa, drawn to face two club chairs or sit at right angles to the loveseat across the Nette coffee table.
Will it come through a gate?
The carton is 86 inches long, 37 wide and 22 high. That clears a 36 inch gate turned on its side and nothing narrower, and a corner in the path is likely to stop it. Measure the route first.
Is it light enough to move?
At 59.5 pounds, yes. Two people can lift and reposition it without equipment, which is roughly half the weight of an equivalent solid teak sofa and one of the practical arguments for an aluminum frame.
Can it stay outside all year?
The frame and strap can. Marine grade aluminum does not rust and the woven strap drains and dries by itself. Cushions last far longer stored dry or kept under a cover over winter.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, 80 pounds in an 86 inch carton on a pallet. Curbside only; getting it into a yard or onto a deck is not part of the delivery.
