Nette Coffee Table
A 40.5 inch square high pressure laminate top on a powder coated aluminum frame, at 15.25 inches high. Square rather than rectangular, which is what suits the Nette lounge group: a club chair on each of three sides reaches it just as easily as the sofa does.
- 40.5 inches square. A square top serves a group arranged around it, where a long rectangle only really serves the sofa it sits in front of.
- 15.25 inches high. Two inches below the 17.25 inch seat of the Nette lounge pieces, which is the proportion a coffee table wants against deep seating.
- Four decors to choose from. Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline and Starlight, all on the same frame.
- Non porous where the drinks go. HPL does not absorb, so rings wipe off and there is never a sealer to reapply.

Materials and Construction
Top. High pressure laminate. Layers of kraft paper are saturated with resin and fused under heat and pressure into one solid panel, with the decor layer sitting under a wear layer rather than printed on the surface. It does not need sealing, does not swell in rain and does not lift at the edge.
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on its coating staying perfect in order to survive, and it stays light enough that one person can move a chair without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.

Care and Maintenance
HPL top. Soap and water. The surface is non porous, so rings and spills wipe off instead of soaking in, and it needs no oil, wax or sealer at any point in its life.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The powder coated aluminum frame can stay outside all year.

Why square rather than rectangular?
Because the Nette lounge group is usually arranged around a table rather than along one. A 40.5 inch square is within reach of a club chair on three sides and the loveseat or sofa on the fourth.
How does it sit against the seating?

Because the frame ships folded down rather than assembled. The carton is 35 inches square against a 40.5 inch top, which is what keeps a table this size on a single pallet.
Will the top stain?
No. The panel is non porous and the decor layer sits under a wear layer rather than on the surface, so wine, citrus and sunscreen wipe off instead of marking it.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. The laminate top does not swell or lift and the powder coated aluminum frame does not rust. A cover keeps it cleaner but neither material depends on one.
