Materials and Construction
Fabric. Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic on Grades A and B. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these covers hold their tone in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.
Grades are fabric tiers. The cushion itself does not change between grades. The dimensions and the construction are fixed; what changes is which fabric book the cover is cut from, and that is what moves the price.

Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Between seasons. Cushions last considerably longer stored dry. Bring them in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches, and let them dry fully before stacking them.
Stains. Treat marks while they are fresh. A cover that has been left to set is much harder to bring back than one sponged the same afternoon.

How do I clean it?
Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and let it air dry. Do not machine dry. Solution dyed fabric takes this treatment repeatedly without losing color.
Why is there no Grade 2A option?
Oxford Garden prices the Mende cushions at Grade A and Grade B only. Cast Ash is the stocked Grade A fabric for Mende. Grade B is made to order in the fabric you name.
The back cushion is listed at 30.5 inches. Is that right for a 72 inch sofa?
That is what the 2026 price list prints, 30.5 inches wide by 19 inches high. If your sofa carries a full width back cushion, send us a photograph and the frame code and we will confirm with Oxford Garden before ordering.
