Materials and Construction
Column and base. All weather resin wicker, hand woven over the Mena column. The strand is synthetic and colored the whole way through rather than surface dyed, so it does not absorb water, go brittle in sun or show a pale core where a chair back scuffs it.
Finish. The frame is powder coated, and the coat is specified when you order. Oxford Garden publishes seventeen powder coats for Mena, which is why every Mena item code ends in -PC followed by a finish code. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, so it holds at the edges and joints where an outdoor finish usually gives out first.
Top. HPL, high pressure laminate. A dense sheet top made for outdoor duty: it does not swell when it is rained on, it wipes clean, and it takes a hot dish or a dragged glass without marking the way a softer surface does. Mena takes four HPL colors, all at one price.

Care and Maintenance
Resin wicker. Hose it off, then work mild soap and lukewarm water into the weave with a soft brush and rinse it out. Grit trapped between the strands is what wears a weave, not weather.
Powder coated frame. Mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
HPL top. Wipe it down with mild soap and water. It needs no sealing, oiling or waxing. Skip abrasive powders, which leave a dulled patch you cannot polish back out.
Off season. The table can stay outside all year.

Yes. The weave is colored through the strand rather than surface dyed, the powder coat is baked on, and both top materials are made for outdoor duty. What actually wears a woven column is grit left in the weave, so rinse it out a couple of times a season.
How many people fit at a 24 inch square top?
Two, one to a side, each with a full 24 inch edge. You can push a third in at a corner, but the two facing seats then lose the knee space that makes a standing height table worth using in the first place.
Can I line two of them up?
Yes, and that is the practical argument for the square top over the round. Two 24 inch squares butted together give you a 48 by 24 inch run at bar height along a wall or a railing.
