Cushion and Fabric Options
Oxford Garden prices cushions by fabric grade. The cushion itself does not change between grades. Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical; what changes is the Sunbrella fabric book you are choosing from, and that is what moves the price.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive, and it stays light enough that one person can move the piece without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Feet. Leg end caps are fitted at the factory so the frame does not mark decking, tile or stone when it is slid rather than lifted.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

How Markoe's Grades Work
Only one of Markoe's three lines is a settled fabric. Grade 2A is stocked in Bliss Linen. Grade A and Grade B are both open fabric books, made to order in whichever Sunbrella you choose from that grade.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 30 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The powder coated aluminum frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much room does a pair need?
Each chair is 29 inches wide and 28.25 inches deep. Two facing across a low table wants about eight feet end to end and roughly six and a half feet front to front before it starts to feel crowded.
How is this different from the Markoe dining chairs?
The seat drops from 17.5 inches to 16.25, the chair gains almost six inches of width and four of depth, and the sling becomes a 5.25 inch cushion with a separate back. It has no relationship to a table.
Does it match the Markoe loveseat and sofa?
Yes. All three sit at 16.25 inches and are 28.25 inches deep with the same 5.25 inch seat cushion, so a chair set beside the sofa lines up rather than stepping up or down.
What is the difference between the grades?
They are fabric price tiers, not different cushions. Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical across all three. Grade 2A is Bliss Linen, the fabric Oxford Garden stocks for Markoe. Grade A and Grade B open wider Sunbrella ranges and are made to order.
What does the frame actually look like?
Markoe is Oxford Garden's open, minimal aluminum frame: a thin section drawn into a squared, contoured shape with very little material between you and the view. It is the reason the sofa weighs 42 pounds at six and a half feet wide.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The powder coated aluminum frame can stay out through the season. Cushions last a great deal longer stored dry or kept under a cover when the chair is not in use for weeks at a time.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. A single chair ships in a 38 by 29 by 40 inch carton at 30 pounds, so the carrier will contact you to arrange a delivery window.
