Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive, and it stays light enough that one person can move the piece without help. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Sling. One tensioned panel of outdoor sling fabric carries the seat and the back. There is no cushion to carry in and out, and rain passes straight through the weave instead of sitting in foam.
Feet. Leg end caps are fitted at the factory so the frame does not mark decking, tile or stone when it is slid rather than lifted.

Sling Fabric
The 2026 price list prints this chair's item code with the sling fabric position left open, so the sling is specified when the order is placed and does not change the price. Oxford Garden's own configuration of this chair uses the Ninja sling, fabric code S.T106, which is what it is photographed in.
The powder coat on the frame is specified the same way.

Care and Maintenance
Sling. Hose it down and let it dry. Sling fabric drains and dries on its own and does not need to be brought inside. For stubborn marks, mild soap and a soft brush.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up a deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The powder coated aluminum frame can stay outside all year.

Which sling fabric do I get?
Whichever you choose. The price list prints the sling position on this chair's item code as open, so the fabric is specified when the order goes in and carries no upcharge. Oxford Garden photographs the chair in the Ninja sling, code S.T106.
Does it really stack?
Yes, which is the practical argument for Markoe over a cushioned dining chair. Eight chairs go into one column in a corner of the garage, and nothing has to be lifted off them first.
Will it fit under my dining table?
The arms are 23.25 inches apart and the seat is 17.5 inches up, so the chair wants about 25 inches of clearance under the apron. A standard 29 inch dining table gives you that.
How is this different from the Markoe Side Chair?
Arms, and 2.25 inches of extra width. The armchair is 23.25 inches across against the side chair's 21. Both sit at 17.5 inches and both stack, so they mix around one table without looking mismatched.
Does the sling sag over time?
It settles slightly in its first weeks and then holds tension. What actually wears a sling is grit ground into the weave, so an occasional rinse does more for its life than careful storage does.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. The aluminum does not rust and the sling drains rather than holding water, so a freeze has nothing to act on. It is the least demanding dining chair in the Oxford Garden line to own.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. Even packed two to a carton the box is 30 by 24 by 42 inches, past what parcel carriers accept, so the carrier arranges a window with you.
