Malti Collection
Malti Strap Sofa
The three seat piece in the Malti Strap family, 75.75 inches wide with a woven panel running the full length of the back. It is the largest strap surface Oxford Garden builds on this frame, and at 59 pounds shipped it is nearly thirty pounds lighter on the truck than the plain Malti Sofa.
- Six and a third feet of woven back. The strap panel spans the whole frame behind the cushion, which is the piece of the collection that reads from across a yard.
- A 68.25 inch seat cushion in one piece. Full length, 5.5 inches deep, with a matching back cushion. No seam to sit across.
- Fifty nine pounds shipped. The plain Malti Sofa ships at 88 pounds. Same footprint, considerably less to handle at the curb.
- An 18.5 inch seat height. Level with every other Malti lounge seat, so strap and plain pieces can share one coffee table if you want them to.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself is the same whichever fabric you choose. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical; the only thing that changes is which Sunbrella fabric the cover is cut from.
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Mainstreet Dove | Mainstreet Dove, the Sunbrella Oxford Garden stocks for Malti. No fabric selection needed. |
| Other Sunbrella fabrics, made to order | Your choice from the wider Sunbrella range, made to order in the fabric you pick. |
Own fabric orders are quoted by phone, because the cost depends on the material, the yardage and the run. We will confirm the quote with Oxford Garden before anything is ordered.
Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame, in the fabric you pick. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. The cushion itself, its fill and its dimensions are the same. Mainstreet Dove is the Sunbrella Oxford Garden stocks for Malti, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order in whichever you choose.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Is this the plain Malti Sofa with a strap added?
No. It is a separate frame with its own item code, its own cushion weights and a woven back panel. The two share a footprint and a seat height but nothing else, and cushions do not swap between them.
Will the carton get down a side path?
The carton is 76 inches long and 33 inches wide, two inches shorter than the plain Malti Sofa carton. Check that against the gate and any corner on the path; delivery is to the curb only.
What strap colors can I choose?
Nine: Pewter, Seagrass, Horizon, Garnet, Clay, Wren, Sandstone, Beige and Sterling. Oxford Garden offers this strap on the Malti and Nette frames only. The color is a no cost selection and we confirm it with you before the order goes in.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
How is Malti Strap different from plain Malti?
It is a different frame, not a fabric choice. The back carries a woven strap panel, the seat cushion is deeper, the chair weighs more and it has its own item code. The two families are sold separately and are not interchangeable.
