Malti Strap Bar Chair
Bar height seating on the Malti Strap frame, with a woven panel closing the back and a 19 inch deep seat cushion. At 43 inches tall it is the piece people look at from behind more than any other seat in the yard, which is the argument for the strap over the open frame.
- A 32.5 inch seat height. The same geometry as the plain Malti Bar Chair, so strap and plain stools line up correctly along one 41.5 inch bar top.
- A closed back at eye level. A bar chair stands 43 inches tall. The strap panel fills the back opening in one of nine colors instead of leaving bare tube on view.
- A deeper seat cushion. 19 inches front to back against 14 on the plain Malti Bar Chair. Cushions are not interchangeable between the two families.
- Ships as a single carton. 22 pounds in one 27 x 24 x 45 inch box, unlike the plain bar chair, which arrives in two.

The Malti Strap Bar Chair is the bar height seat in Oxford Garden's Malti Strap range. The woven strap panel is the whole point of the family: on a 43 inch tall chair the back is the face most people see, and the strap gives it a filled surface in a color you choose.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself is the same whichever fabric you choose. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical; the only thing that changes is which Sunbrella fabric the cover is cut from.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Strap and Frame Colors
The strap panel is a no cost selection made when the order is placed. Nine colors are offered, shared with Oxford Garden's Nette collection and available on no other Oxford Garden frame:
Pewter, Seagrass, Horizon, Garnet, Clay, Wren, Sandstone, Beige and Sterling.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 22 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame, in the fabric you pick. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. The cushion itself, its fill and its dimensions are the same. Mainstreet Dove is the Sunbrella Oxford Garden stocks for Malti, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order in whichever you choose.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Which bar table is this sized for?
A 41 to 42 inch bar top. The Malti 36 inch round folding bar table stands 41.5 inches high, which leaves about nine inches between the 32.5 inch seat and the underside of the top.
Can I put strap bar chairs and plain Malti bar chairs at the same bar?
Yes. Both are 23.25 inches wide, 43 inches tall and seated at 32.5 inches. The strap version is about two pounds heavier and reads as a solid back rather than an open one.
What strap colors can I choose?
Nine: Pewter, Seagrass, Horizon, Garnet, Clay, Wren, Sandstone, Beige and Sterling. Oxford Garden offers this strap on the Malti and Nette frames only. The color is a no cost selection and we confirm it with you before the order goes in.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
How is Malti Strap different from plain Malti?
It is a different frame, not a fabric choice. The back carries a woven strap panel, the seat cushion is deeper, the chair weighs more and it has its own item code. The two families are sold separately and are not interchangeable.
