Malti Collection
Malti Strap Armchair
Malti Strap is its own chair, not a fabric option on the standard Malti frame. A woven strap panel spans the back, the seat cushion runs 19 inches deep instead of 14, and the chair carries a separate item code. It is the version to pick when you want the frame to read as soft rather than as bare metal.
- A deeper seat cushion. 19 inches front to back against 14 inches on the standard Malti armchair, on an otherwise identical 23.5 inch wide, 30.25 inch tall frame.
- Nine strap colors. Pewter, Seagrass, Horizon, Garnet, Clay, Wren, Sandstone, Beige and Sterling. Oxford Garden offers this strap on the Malti and Nette frames only.
- A stocked fabric, or your own choice. Mainstreet Dove is the fabric Oxford Garden stocks for Malti, so no fabric decision is needed. Other Sunbrella fabrics are made to order.
- Still a 19 inch seat. The strap frame does not change the dining geometry. It sits level with the plain Malti chairs around the same table.

The Malti Strap Armchair takes the Malti dining frame and closes the back with a woven strap panel. Oxford Garden builds this strap on two collections only, Malti and Nette, and it is the detail that separates the two Malti families from one another on a showroom floor.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself does not change with your choice of fabric. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical on every option.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Strap and Frame Colors
The strap panel is a no cost selection made when the order is placed. Nine colors are offered, shared with Oxford Garden's Nette collection and available on no other Oxford Garden frame:
Pewter, Seagrass, Horizon, Garnet, Clay, Wren, Sandstone, Beige and Sterling.

Shipping and Delivery
This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 18 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame and your fabric choice sets what the covers are cut from. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth the cover is cut from. The cushion itself, its fill and its dimensions are the same. Mainstreet Dove is the stocked Sunbrella for Malti. Other Sunbrella fabrics are made to order in whichever one you choose.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Can I mix strap and plain Malti chairs at one table?
Yes. Both share a 19 inch seat height, a 23.5 inch width and a 30.25 inch back, so they line up correctly. The strap chairs read heavier because of the panel, which is why some buyers use them at the ends only.
Why is the seat cushion a different size?
Because the frame is different. The strap seat measures 19 inches deep against 14 inches on the plain Malti armchair. Cushions are not interchangeable between the two families.
What strap colors can I choose?

How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
How is Malti Strap different from plain Malti?
It is a different frame, not a fabric choice. The back carries a woven strap panel, the seat cushion is deeper, the chair weighs more and it has its own item code. The two families are not interchangeable.
