Malti High Back Club Chair
The tall backed lounge chair in the Malti range, 42.75 inches to the top of the frame with a 20.5 inch back cushion. It supports the head and shoulders rather than stopping at the shoulder blades, which is the difference between a chair you perch in and one you fall asleep in.
- Ten and three quarter inches taller than the standard club chair. 42.75 inches against 32, with a 20.5 inch back cushion instead of a 17.5 inch one.
- Three inches deeper, too. 32.25 inches front to back. The extra depth is what lets the taller back recline without tipping the proportions forward.
- Still an 18.5 inch seat. It sits level with the Malti Club Chair, Loveseat and Sofa, so a group built from a mix of them reads as one set.
- Thirty two pounds shipped. Oxford Garden packs it one or two chairs to a carton, both of which travel on the same palletized freight shipment.

The Malti High Back Club Chair is the tallest lounge seat in Oxford Garden's Malti range. It keeps the collection's 18.5 inch seat height and 5.5 inch seat cushion and adds height and depth above that line, on the same powder coated aluminum frame.
Manufacturer item code MLHCC. Sold complete with seat and back cushions. The Malti Strap Highback Club Chair is a separate frame with its own code.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself is the same whichever fabric you choose. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical; the only thing that changes is which Sunbrella fabric the cover is cut from.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 32 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame, in the fabric you pick. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. Construction and dimensions are identical. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are both stocked for Malti, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order in whichever you pick.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Is the high back worth the extra height?
It depends on how you sit. The 20.5 inch back cushion reaches the base of the skull on most adults, so the chair supports the head. The standard Malti club chair stops at 17.5 inches, which supports the back only.
Will it look odd next to the standard Malti Club Chair?
They share the 18.5 inch seat height and the same seat cushion, so the sitting line matches. The back line does not: there is nearly eleven inches between them, which most people either want or do not.
What frame colors can I get?
Frame color is a powder coat selection made with the order, at no extra cost, from Oxford Garden's standard Malti range. Tell us the finish you want when you order and we will confirm it before the order goes in.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
