Malti Counter Chair
Counter height seating in the Malti aluminum frame, with a 25 inch seat that suits a 35 to 36 inch outdoor counter or island. It is seven and a half inches shorter overall than the Malti Bar Chair and takes exactly the same cushions as the dining chairs.
- A 25 inch seat height. The counter figure, not the bar figure. It leaves roughly ten inches of knee clearance under a 35 to 36 inch counter or grill island.
- Seven and a half inches shorter than the bar chair. 35.5 inches tall against 43. Under a window or against a low wall that difference is the whole decision.
- Cushions shared across the collection. The same 17.5 x 14 inch seat pad and 13.5 x 13 inch back cushion as the Malti Armchair, Side Chair and Bar Chair.
- Twelve and a half pounds. Light enough to move along a counter one handed while carrying something in the other.

Product Details
The Malti Counter Chair is the counter height seat in Oxford Garden's Malti range, on the same powder coated aluminum tube as the bar and dining chairs with a footrest in the leg frame. The only meaningful difference from the bar chair is height: 25 inches to the seat instead of 32.5.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself is the same whichever fabric you choose. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical; the only thing that changes is which Sunbrella fabric the cover is cut from.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 21 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame, in the fabric you pick. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. Construction and dimensions are identical. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are both stocked for Malti, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order in whichever you pick.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Counter height or bar height, which do I need?
Measure the top. A 35 to 36 inch counter or grill island takes this chair at a 25 inch seat. A 41 to 42 inch bar takes the Malti Bar Chair at 32.5 inches. Mixing them at one top leaves one person sitting low.
Does it use the same cushions as the rest of Malti?
Yes. The seat pad is 17.5 by 14 inches and the back cushion is 13.5 by 13 inches, identical to the Malti Armchair, Side Chair and Bar Chair, so a mixed order comes back in one matched fabric.
What frame colors can I get?
Frame color is a powder coat selection made with the order, at no extra cost, from Oxford Garden's standard Malti range. Tell us the finish you want when you order and we will confirm it before the order goes in.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
What else is in the plain Malti collection?
A side chair, an armchair, a counter chair, a bar chair, a club chair, a high back club chair, a loveseat and a sofa, plus HPL topped dining, bar, coffee and end tables. The Malti Strap pieces are a separate frame, not a finish option on these.
