Malti Collection
Malti Club Chair
The deep seating chair in the Malti range, 29.25 inches square with a 5.5 inch seat cushion over a powder coated aluminum frame. At 18.5 pounds it is a lounge chair you can actually pick up and turn toward the conversation, which is not true of most cushioned outdoor seating this size.
- A 5.5 inch seat cushion. Nearly three times the depth of the Malti dining pad, with a 17.5 inch back cushion behind it. This is a chair to sit in for an hour, not for a meal.
- Eighteen and a half pounds. A deep seating chair light enough to move single handed. Aluminum is what makes that possible at this size.
- Square in plan. 29.25 inches wide by 29.25 deep, so it turns to any angle without looking wrong from the side. Two of them and the Malti coffee table make a complete group.
- An 18.5 inch seat height. Shared with the Malti High Back Club Chair, Loveseat and Sofa, so a mixed lounge group sits level all the way round.
Details and specifications
Product Details
The Malti Club Chair is the deep seating lounge chair in Oxford Garden's Malti range. The frame is the same powder coated aluminum tube used across the collection, scaled up and squared off to carry a 5.5 inch seat cushion without adding the weight a timber or wicker frame would.
Manufacturer item code MLCC. Sold complete with seat and back cushions. The Malti Strap Club Chair is a separate frame with its own code.

Cushion and Fabric Options
The cushion itself does not change with your choice of fabric. The fill, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical on every option.
| Fabric | What it is |
|---|---|
| Bliss Linen | The Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic Oxford Garden stocks for Malti. No fabric selection needed. |
| Mainstreet Dove | The second Sunbrella Oxford Garden stocks for Malti. No fabric selection needed. |
| Other Sunbrella fabrics, made to order | Wider Sunbrella ranges, made to order in the fabric you choose. |
Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.
Oxford Garden provides full warranty terms and care instructions at oxfordgarden.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cushions included?
Yes. The seat and back cushions ship with the frame and your fabric choice sets what the covers are cut from. There is no separate cushion to add to the order.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
The cushions are the same. Construction and dimensions are identical. Bliss Linen and Mainstreet Dove are the stocked fabrics for Malti. Other Sunbrella fabrics open the wider range and are made to order.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The frame, yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust and does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. The cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
How does this differ from the Malti High Back Club Chair?
Height and depth. This chair is 32 inches tall and 29.25 deep; the high back version is 42.75 tall and 32.25 deep with a 20.5 inch back cushion. Both share the same 18.5 inch seat and the same seat cushion.
Do people buy these in pairs?
Usually. Two club chairs facing a Malti loveseat or sofa across the 54.75 inch coffee table is the standard arrangement, and Oxford Garden packs the chair one or two to a carton for exactly that reason.
What frame colors can I get?
Frame color is a powder coat selection made with the order, at no extra cost, from Oxford Garden's standard Malti range. Tell us the finish you want when you order and we will confirm it before the order goes in.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service on a palletized shipment, not by parcel carrier. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard, through a gate or onto a deck.
What else is in the plain Malti collection?
A side chair, an armchair, a counter chair, a bar chair, a club chair, a high back club chair, a loveseat and a sofa, plus HPL topped dining, bar, coffee and end tables. The Malti Strap pieces are a separate frame, not a finish option on these.
