What is the Malti Club Chair made of?
The frame is powder coated aluminum. Powder coat is applied dry and electrostatically, then cured under heat into a continuous shell, which gives a harder and more chip resistant surface than wet paint. Aluminum does not rust, which is why it is the default frame material for poolside and coastal use.
The cushions are Sunbrella. Sunbrella is solution dyed, which means the color is part of the fiber rather than printed on it, so it holds up to sun far better than a dyed fabric and can be cleaned wet without the color lifting.
What finishes can I order?
Bliss Linen cushions on a Carbon powder coated frame. That is the configuration Oxford Garden stocks, and it is what is in stock now.
The price list prints further grade lines against this piece. Where a grade has no fabric available on Malti we have left it off rather than list a choice you cannot make.

How do I care for this piece?
Brush the cushions off and hose them down with mild soapy water, then stand them on edge to dry. Sunbrella and olefin covers are made to be cleaned wet.
Bring the cushions in or box them at the end of the season. The frame can stay out; it is the foam that suffers from months of damp.
Wipe the frame with mild soapy water and rinse. Powder coated aluminum needs no waxing, sealing or rust treatment.

Is 18.5 pounds too light for a lounge chair?

Because there is no Grade A fabric available on this collection. The price list prints a Grade A line, but every Grade A fabric Oxford Garden publishes is restricted to the Mende collection, so that line has no orderable fabric behind it.

Can I order just one?

Will the aluminum frame rust near a pool?
