Lido Sofa in Solid Teak
The full three seat Lido sofa, seven and a third feet of solid teak. It is the largest piece in the collection and the one that sets the scale of everything around it, with the same low seat and deep cushion as the club chair and loveseat.

- Solid teak, visibly joined. The same construction as the rest of Lido, scaled up. Nothing about the frame is lightened to reach the size.

Cushion and Fabric Options
Oxford Garden prices cushions in fabric grades. The cushion itself does not change between grades. The foam, the cover construction and the dimensions are identical on every grade; what changes is which fabric book you are choosing from, and that is what moves the price.

Oxford Garden also accepts COM and SOF orders, which is your own material or a special order fabric outside the standard grades. Those are quoted individually and carry a longer lead time.
Cushions are filled and covered by Oxford Garden and ship with the sofa.
Materials and Construction
Frame. Solid teak, sustainably sourced. Teak is used outdoors because of what is already in it: a high natural oil content that resists water absorption, insects and rot without any coating.
Finish. Supplied unfinished in natural teak. Left alone, the surface oxidizes to a soft silver gray over roughly one season. That change is cosmetic and does not affect the strength of the wood.
Joinery. The Lido frame uses through joinery that stays visible on the outside faces of the arms and legs. It is a structural choice that Oxford Garden chose not to hide.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Shipping and Delivery
This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier. The carton is 92" x 30" x 30" inches and 115 lb, well past what UPS and FedEx accept.

Care and Maintenance
Teak. No treatment is required. To keep the honey tone rather than let it silver, apply a teak sealer once a season to a dry frame. Do not use a pressure washer, which tears the soft grain out from between the harder rings. For general cleaning, warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the grain.
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Off season. The frame can stay outside. Cushions last longer stored dry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the price include the cushions?
Yes. The Lido Sofa is sold complete and the cushions ship with the frame. The grade you choose sets which fabric range they come from.
Will the teak turn gray?
It will, over roughly one season outdoors, unless you seal it. The silver gray patina is the natural oxidation of the surface layer and it does not weaken the wood. If you prefer the original honey color, a teak sealer applied annually holds it.
Do I need to assemble it?
No. It arrives fully assembled. Unbox it and set it down.
Can I leave it outside all year?
The teak frame, yes. Teak is used on boat decks for the same reason. Cushions last considerably longer if you store them dry or cover them when the piece is not in use.
What is the difference between Grade 2A, Grade A and Grade B?
They are fabric price tiers, not different cushions. The cushion construction and dimensions are identical across all three. Grade 2A is Bliss Linen, the fabric Oxford Garden stocks for Lido. Grade A and Grade B open up wider Sunbrella ranges and are made to order.
How is this delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, on a standard palletized shipment. You will be contacted to arrange the delivery. The driver is not able to carry it into a yard or onto a deck.
How many people does it seat?
Three comfortably. At 88.25 inches wide with a 16.5 inch seat height it is a full size outdoor sofa, and it pairs with the Lido loveseat and club chairs around a low table.
What else is in the Lido collection?
An armchair, a club chair, a loveseat and a sofa, all in the same solid teak with matching cushions. They are designed to be combined.
