What is the Lido Teak Club Chair made of?
Solid teak is the reference material for outdoor furniture. Its own oil content is what makes it stable outdoors: it resists rot and insects without treatment, and it moves very little through wet and dry cycles. Left alone it weathers from honey brown to a soft silver gray, which is a surface change rather than decay.
The cushions are Sunbrella Grade 2A in Bliss Linen. Sunbrella is solution dyed, which means the color is part of the fiber rather than printed on it, so it holds up to sun far better than a dyed fabric and can be cleaned wet.
Teak and a light linen cushion is a deliberate pairing: as the frame silvers over the first year the contrast softens, and the setting reads as one tone rather than two.

How do I care for teak and outdoor cushions?
Brush the cushions off and hose them down with mild soapy water, then stand them on edge to dry. Sunbrella and olefin covers are made to be cleaned wet.
Bring the cushions in or box them at the end of the season. The frame can stay out; it is the foam that suffers from months of damp.
Wipe the frame with mild soapy water and rinse. Powder coated aluminum needs no waxing, sealing or rust treatment.
