Koral Collection
Koral Modular Side Seat
The straight module in the Koral system: a 36.5 inch square of upholstered seat and back on a low aluminum base, with no arms. It is the piece you add to make a run longer, and on its own it is a wide armless lounge chair with a 15.5 inch seat.
- 36.5 inches square. A generous module. Two of them between corner seats gives you a sofa a person can actually lie down on, which a 30 inch module will not.
- Upholstered, not cushioned. The seat and back are covered rather than carrying loose pads, so nothing shifts when you sit down and nothing blows off the terrace in a gust.
- 15.5 inch seat on a floating base. Low, deep lounge proportions, with the aluminum base set back so the upholstered block reads as if it hovers.
- Armless, so modules meet flush. No arm to clear between units, which is what keeps a Koral run reading as one piece of furniture instead of a line of chairs.

Upholstery Options
Koral is upholstered, not cushioned, so the fabric you pick is the fabric on the piece. Both options are built identically; only the cloth changes.
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Spectrum Indigo | Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic in a deep blue. Offered on the Koral collection only. |
| Sunbrella Limited Collection | Fabrics from the Sunbrella Limited Collection. Tell us the cloth you want and we confirm it before the order goes in. |
Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Upholstery. The seat and back are upholstered rather than carrying loose cushions, so nothing slides out of place and there is no gap between a pad and the frame. Spectrum Indigo is a Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic: the color goes into the fiber before it is spun instead of being printed onto finished cloth, which is why it holds its tone in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print. Oxford Garden offers Spectrum Indigo on the Koral collection only.

Your Own Fabric: COM and SOF Orders
Oxford Garden accepts COM and SOF orders on the Koral upholstered pieces. COM is customer's own material: you supply the fabric. SOF is special order fabric, a Sunbrella or other approved cloth from outside the standard books.
Own fabric orders are quoted by phone, because the cost depends on the material, the yardage and the run.
If you want this piece in your own fabric, call 631 678-6506 or email customerservice@aquaterrabackyard.com. We will confirm the quote with Oxford Garden before anything is ordered.
COM and SOF orders carry an extended lead time and, under Oxford Garden's terms, may not be returned or canceled.

Care and Maintenance
Upholstery. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and let it air dry. Do not machine dry the covers. Cover the piece or move it under shelter when it is not in use for long stretches and the fabric will keep its color longer.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included?
The complete module: frame, base and upholstered seat and back in the fabric you select. It arrives as one piece rather than a frame plus a cushion set.
How does the Koral system fit together?
Every Koral seat is a 36.5 inch square on the same low aluminum base, so side seats, corner seats and the ottoman line up on one grid. Count in modules rather than inches: two corners and a side seat make a three seat sofa at roughly 109 inches.
What is Spectrum Indigo?
A Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic in a deep blue, offered on the Koral collection only. Solution dyed means the pigment is in the fiber rather than printed on the surface, which is why it holds color through seasons of direct sun.
What is the Sunbrella Limited Collection?
A separate Sunbrella fabric range. The piece is built the same way either route. Tell us the fabric you want from that range and we will confirm it before the order goes in.
Can I have it in my own fabric?
Yes, through a COM or SOF order. Those are quoted by phone, so we cannot list them as a variant. Call 631 678-6506 and we will confirm the quote with Oxford Garden before ordering. Expect an extended lead time.
Can I use it as a single chair?
Yes. On its own it is an armless lounge chair 36.5 inches wide with a 15.5 inch seat, which is wider than most club chairs. People use one or two loose alongside a Koral run for exactly that reason.
Can I replace the upholstery later?
Yes. Oxford Garden makes a matching upholstery set for this module and we list it separately, so the fabric can be renewed years from now without replacing the frame.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, at 51 lb in a carton of 39 by 38 by 29 inches. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window.
