Eiland Modular Loveseat (Armless)
The armless middle section of the Eiland modular group: a two seat unit with no arms on either side, built to sit between corner seats or between the left and right arm loveseats. It is how an Eiland sectional gets longer without gaining a seam you can feel.
- No arms on either side. Both ends are open, so it drops into the middle of a run and the seat line carries straight through from the unit before it to the unit after.
- One 48 inch seat cushion. A single cushion across the whole unit rather than two pads, so two people are not sitting either side of a join.
- An 18 inch seat, 4.25 inches of cushion. The same seat height as every other Eiland deep seating piece, which is what makes a mixed run sit level.
- Taupe frame. Shared with the corner seat, the arm loveseats and the cushioned club chair.

Manufacturer item code EDMALS, with letters for the cushion fabric and the frame color. With the stocked Mainstreet Dove cushions and the Taupe frame, Oxford Garden's code is EDMALS with the Mainstreet Dove and Taupe letters added.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Frame color. The Eiland cushioned deep seating is built in Taupe, rather than the Carbon used on the dining, cord and table pieces. Every piece in the deep seating group shares it, so club chairs, loveseats and modular units match one another.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Why is the seat cushion wider than the frame?
Oxford Garden lists the seat cushion at 48 inches and the overall width at 47.5 inches. Those are the manufacturer's figures, and the cushion simply sits snug against the neighboring units in a run.
Can I use it on its own?
You can, as an armless two seater, but it is designed as a middle section. On its own most people prefer the Eiland Cushioned Loveseat, which is the same idea at 52 inches with arms.
What is the difference between the fabric choices?
Only the cloth. Foam, cover construction and dimensions are identical. Mainstreet Dove is the stocked Sunbrella, and any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order.
