Eiland Club Chair
A cord seated lounge chair on a Carbon aluminum frame, low at a 15.25 inch seat and only fifteen pounds. The Mocha cord does the work on its own, and a cushion is an option rather than a requirement.
- A 15.25 inch seat. Nearly three inches lower than the Eiland dining chairs. That drop is what turns a chair from something you eat in to something you sit back in.
- Mocha cord, code C.T112. Woven over the frame so it flexes under load and drains straight through. Oxford Garden uses this cord on Eiland and nowhere else in the range.
- Fifteen pounds. A lounge chair one person carries. Most cushioned club chairs of this size are at least twice that.
- Cushion optional. Buy it bare and the cord is the seat. Add a Pepper or Mainstreet Dove cushion, or a made to order Sunbrella, and the cushion lies on top of the cord rather than replacing it.

Cushion and Fabric Choices
This piece is sold with or without cushions. The cord seat and back are part of the frame and are there whichever you choose; the cushion sits on top of them. The cushion is the same in every fabric. Pepper is an olefin that Oxford Garden stocks for Eiland and for no other collection. Mainstreet Dove is a stocked Sunbrella. Any other Sunbrella is made to order.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Cord. The seat and back are woven in Mocha cord, Oxford Garden code C.T112, a synthetic cord used on no other Oxford Garden collection. It is woven over the frame rather than stretched across it as a panel, so it gives where you sit and drains straight through after rain.
Cushions. Solution dyed fabric. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Cord. Hose the weave down and let it dry. Cord drains and dries on its own and does not need to come inside. For marks, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the weave.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Do I need the cushion?
No. The cord seat and back are woven into the frame and the chair is complete without one. The cushion is a comfort layer that sits on top of the cord, and the bare chair is offered as its own option.
What is the seat woven from?
Mocha cord, Oxford Garden code C.T112. It is a synthetic cord woven over the aluminum frame rather than a fabric panel stretched across it. Water runs straight through, so the seat dries fast and nothing has to be carried indoors.
What is Pepper?
