The seat pad for Oxford Garden's Eiland arm and side chairs. One inch thick, 18 by 19.75 inches, with ties at the back so it stays on the chair. It fits all Eiland arm and side chairs.
- Fits all Eiland arm and side chairs. Item code 1EDCH, 18 by 19.75 inches, with ties at the back. There is a separate pad, 1EDCH-02, that fits the cord arm and side chairs only.
- Ties at the back. The pad is fastened to the chair rather than laid on it, which is what keeps it in place on an open terrace and when somebody stands up in a hurry.
- One inch thick, deliberately. Eiland dining chairs are shaped seats. A thin pad takes the hard edge off without lifting you out of the shape the chair was built around.
- Fabric changes, padding does not. The measurements and the build are the same whichever fabric you choose.

Materials and Construction
What this is. A cushion, sold on its own. There is no frame in the carton and no hardware. You are buying the cover and the cushion that goes on a piece of furniture you already own.
How it stays on. This pad has ties at the back, so it fastens to the chair rather than sliding forward every time somebody stands up.
Fabric. Pepper is a solution dyed olefin stocked for Eiland. Mainstreet Dove is the stocked Sunbrella. Any other Sunbrella is made to order. The pad itself does not change between them.
Cushions. Solution dyed fabric. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Storage. Cushions last longer stored dry. Bring them in or cover them when the piece is not in use for weeks at a time, and stand them on edge rather than stacking them wet.
Covers. Clean the pad in place with mild soap and water.

Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse it thoroughly and let it air dry. Do not machine dry it. Rinsing matters more than scrubbing: soap left in the fabric pulls dirt back into it faster than the dirt you just removed.
Can I leave it outside all season?
It is built for outdoor use, but a cushion that lives through every storm will not last as long as one that is covered or brought in. Store it dry and on edge when the piece is out of use for weeks at a time.
