Eiland 63" Rectangular Dining Table
The long table in the Eiland range: 63 by 45 inches with a two inch umbrella hole, at standard 29.75 inch height. It is the only rectangular Eiland dining table, and the only one that takes three chairs down a side.
- 63 by 45 inches. Three Eiland side chairs fit down each long side at 17.75 inches apiece with room to spare, and one at each end, which is a table for eight rather than four.
- 45 inches deep. Wide enough that two people opposite each other are not sharing a placemat, and wide enough to run serving dishes down the middle without moving plates.
- Two inch umbrella hole. 50mm, for a standard market pole. Standard on the aluminum top and optional with a plug on the high pressure laminate tops.
- Aluminum top or four HPL colors. Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline and Starlight, or the base aluminum top in the frame's own Carbon coat.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Aluminum top. The base configuration is an all aluminum top in the same powder coat as the frame. It is the lightest of the tops and there is nothing on it but the coating.
HPL top. High pressure laminate is layers of paper and resin fused under heat and pressure into one dense sheet. It is non porous, so a wet glass leaves nothing behind, and it holds its color in direct sun. Eiland offers it in Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline and Starlight.

Care and Maintenance
Tops. Wipe with mild soap and water. Neither the aluminum nor the high pressure laminate is porous, so neither needs sealing or oiling and neither will take a water ring. Avoid abrasive pads.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

How many does it seat?
Six comfortably, eight at a push. Eiland side chairs are 17.75 inches wide, so three fit down each 63 inch side, and an armchair at 23.25 inches fits at each 45 inch end.
Which top options are there?

How much space does it need?
Allow about 11 feet by 9. The table is 5 feet 3 by 3 feet 9, and you want roughly three feet behind each chair to push back and stand up.
What is HPL?
High pressure laminate. Layers of paper and resin are fused under heat and pressure into a single dense sheet. Outdoors it stays flat, does not silver the way timber does and takes a hot mug or a wet glass without marking. Eiland offers four colors of it.
Will the frame rust?
No. Eiland frames are marine grade aluminum, which does not rust, so the piece does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
What color is the frame?
Carbon. It is the finish the Eiland aluminum, cord and table pieces are built in, so the dining, bar and lounge pieces line up with each other across the collection.
Can it take an umbrella?
Yes, through the two inch hole, with a weighted base underneath. On a 63 inch table an umbrella sits off center of the long axis, so check the canopy diameter covers the ends.
