Eiland Collection
Eiland 36" Square Dining Table
A 36 inch square dining table at standard 29.75 inch height, on a powder coated aluminum frame. It seats four without anyone negotiating a corner, and the top comes either in aluminum or in one of four high pressure laminates.
- 36 inches square seats four. Eighteen inches of table edge a side, which is the width a place setting actually needs. A round table of the same area gives you less usable edge.
- Aluminum top or four HPL colors. The aluminum top is the base configuration. Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline and Starlight are high pressure laminate, which is non porous and does not silver in sun.
- 29.75 inches high. Standard dining height. Eiland side chairs at an 18 inch seat leave 11.75 inches of thigh room under the top.
- 39 pounds with the aluminum top. Heavy enough to stay put on a breezy terrace, light enough for two people to carry off a truck.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Aluminum top. The base configuration is an all aluminum top in the same powder coat as the frame. It is the lightest of the tops and there is nothing on it but the coating.
HPL top. High pressure laminate is layers of paper and resin fused under heat and pressure into one dense sheet. It is non porous, so a wet glass leaves nothing behind, and it holds its color in direct sun. Eiland offers it in Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline and Starlight.
What Is Included
- One Eiland 36 inch square dining table, aluminum frame and legs in Carbon powder coat
- The top in the configuration you choose: aluminum, or high pressure laminate in Marshland Oak, Enigma, Skyline or Starlight

Care and Maintenance
Tops. Wipe with mild soap and water. Neither the aluminum nor the high pressure laminate is porous, so neither needs sealing or oiling and neither will take a water ring. Avoid abrasive pads.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the base configuration?
The aluminum top. The four high pressure laminate tops are the same table and the same frame with a laminate top fitted.
What is HPL?
High pressure laminate. Layers of paper and resin are fused under heat and pressure into a single dense sheet. Outdoors it stays flat, does not silver the way timber does and takes a hot mug or a wet glass without marking. Eiland offers four colors of it.
How many Eiland chairs fit around it?
Four. Side chairs are 17.75 inches wide and armchairs 23.25 inches, so one a side either way. Two a side would need the 63 inch rectangular table.
Does it take an umbrella?
Oxford Garden lists an umbrella hole for the 45 and 63 inch Eiland tables but not for this one, so we will not claim one for it.
Will the frame rust?
No. Eiland frames are marine grade aluminum, which does not rust, so the piece does not depend on the coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
What color is the frame?
Carbon, Oxford Garden powder coat code PC.C. Carbon is the finish the Eiland aluminum, cord and table pieces are built in, so the dining, bar and lounge pieces line up with each other across the collection.
Does the aluminum top get hot?
In direct sun a bare metal top warms up more than a laminate one. If the table lives in full sun all day, the HPL tops are the more comfortable surface to rest a forearm on.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton is 39 by 39 by 5 inches at 41 to 45 pounds depending on the top, so it is the shape rather than the weight that puts it on a truck.
