Classic Coffee Table in Solid Teak
A slatted teak coffee table just under three feet long, at the same 16.5 inch height as the Classic end table. It is sized for the front of a loveseat or between two lounge chairs, and it is narrow enough at 20.5 inches that people can still get past it.
- 35.25 inches long by 20.5 inches deep. Long enough to serve two seats, narrow enough to leave a walking gap in front of a bench or loveseat.
- A 16.5 inch top. Matched to the Classic End Table, so a lounge group using both reads as one level surface rather than two heights.
- Slatted top. Rain runs through the gaps instead of standing on the surface, which is why outdoor tables are built this way and painted indoor tables do not last outdoors.
- 23.1 pounds of solid teak. Heavy enough to stay put under use, light enough for one person to reposition when the furniture moves.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Solid teak, sustainably sourced. Teak is used outdoors because of what is already in it: a high natural oil content that resists water absorption, insects and rot without any coating.
Finish. Supplied unfinished in natural teak. Left alone, the surface oxidizes to a soft silver gray over roughly one season. That change is cosmetic and does not affect the strength of the wood.
What Is Included
- One Classic Coffee Table in solid teak, packed flat in a single carton

Care and Maintenance
Teak. No treatment is required. To keep the honey tone rather than let it silver, apply a teak sealer once a season to a dry frame. Do not use a pressure washer, which tears the soft grain out from between the harder rings. For general cleaning, warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the grain.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far should it sit from the seating?
About 14 to 18 inches of gap is comfortable. At 20.5 inches deep and 35.25 inches long the table leaves a clear walking route in front of a five foot bench if you hold that spacing.
Is it the same height as the Classic end table?
Yes, both are 16.5 inches high. You can run a coffee table in front of a bench and end tables at the ends of it and every surface will line up.
Will water sit on the top?
No. The top is slatted with gaps between the boards, so rain drains straight through instead of pooling. Wipe leaves and grit out of the gaps a few times a season.
Does it arrive assembled?
No. The carton is only a few inches deep, so the piece is packed flat and goes together on site. Work on a soft surface, start every fastener before you tighten any of them, and the frame will pull up square.
Will the teak turn gray?
It will, over roughly one season outdoors, unless you seal it. The silver gray patina is surface oxidation and does not weaken the wood. If you prefer the original honey tone, a teak sealer applied once a season holds it.
Can I leave it outside all winter?
Yes. Teak is used on boat decks for the same reason it is used here: the natural oils in the wood resist water, insects and rot without any coating. Nothing needs to come indoors.
What else is in the Classic collection?
Side and arm dining chairs, a rocking chair, benches in four, five and six foot lengths, a square end table and a coffee table. All are the same solid teak and the same slat detailing, so they can be mixed freely.
