Classic Collection
Classic Rocking Chair Cushion
The seat cushion for Oxford Garden's Classic Rocking Chair. Nineteen and a half inches wide and only 16 deep, which is the measurement that separates it from every other Classic cushion.
- Fits the Classic Rocking Chair. Cut for the Classic Rocking Chair, 16 inches deep, three inches shallower than the other Classic pads, because the rocker seat is shallower.
- Sixteen inches deep, not nineteen. The rocker seat is shallower than the dining chairs. A 19 inch deep pad would hang over the front rail and push against the back of your knees as the chair moves.
- Two and a half inches thick. Enough padding for a chair people sit in for a long time, without lifting you so high that the rocker geometry changes under you.
- Fabric changes, padding does not. The measurements and the build are the same whichever Sunbrella fabric you choose.

Materials and Construction
What this is. A cushion, sold on its own. There is no frame in the carton and no hardware. You are buying the cover and the cushion that goes on a piece of furniture you already own.
Fabric. Sunbrella, made to order in the fabric you name. The cushion measures the same and is built the same in every one.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the furniture included?
No. This listing is the cushion by itself, for a piece you already own. There is no frame, no hardware and no other part in the carton. Where our photography shows furniture, it is there to show you where the cushion goes.
Can I choose any Sunbrella fabric?
Yes. The cushion is made to order in the Sunbrella fabric you name. Every dimension and the construction are the same whichever you pick. Call 631 678-6506 and we will confirm the fabric before the order goes in.
How do I clean it?
Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse it thoroughly and let it air dry. Do not machine dry it. Rinsing matters more than scrubbing: soap left in the fabric pulls dirt back into it faster than the dirt you just removed.
Can I leave it outside all season?
It is built for outdoor use, but a cushion that lives through every storm will not last as long as one that is covered or brought in. Store it dry and on edge when the piece is out of use for weeks at a time.
Can I order this cushion on its own?
Yes, that is what this listing is. We confirm with Oxford Garden that it ships on its own before the order goes in and before anything is charged.
How do I make sure I am ordering the right size?
Measure your existing cushion, or the seat it sits on, and check it against the dimensions in the table above. If the numbers are close but not exact, send us what you measured and we will check the item code with Oxford Garden first.
Why is this cushion shallower than the others?
Because the Classic rocking chair seat is shallower, at 16 inches rather than 19. Oxford Garden cuts the pad to the frame, which is why this is a separate part from the side chair pad.
Will it slide when the chair rocks?
It is cut to the seat, which is what keeps it in place. No ties or fasteners are listed with it.
