Oxford Garden Australian Timber Oil - Gallon
Oxford Garden Australian Timber Oil - Gallon
Wood Care Collection
Australian Timber Oil, Gallon
Oxford Garden's Australian Timber Oil in the gallon container, in three tints at one price. This is the size you buy when you are finishing a full dining set, a run of benches or a deck's worth of teak rather than touching up one chair.
- Three tints, one price. Honey Teak, Jarrah Brown and Natural are all listed at the same figure, so choose by the tone you want rather than by cost.
- Oxford Garden's own wood care line. Listed on page 67 of the 2026 price list alongside their Teak Protectant, ordered through the same channel as the furniture.
- The gallon, not the quart. The same oil in the larger container. Oxford Garden also lists a quart, which is the size for a single piece or a seasonal touch up.
- Ships as a parcel. The carton is 9" L x 9" W x 10" H at 9 lb. This is a consumable, not furniture, so it does not go on a pallet and it does not wait for a freight appointment.

Care and Maintenance
Before you open it. Read the container label. Surface preparation, the number of coats and the conditions it should be applied in are all set by the manufacturer and printed there.
Storing it. Keep the container closed and out of direct sun. An opened container of any oil finish keeps better full than half empty.
Rags. Oil soaked rags are a fire risk. Lay them out flat to dry or put them in water before you throw them away. This is the one instruction on an oil finish that is not optional.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which tint should I pick?
They are the same price, so it is purely a question of tone. The names describe what each one leaves: Honey Teak, Jarrah Brown and Natural. Test your choice on an offcut or the underside of a seat slat before you do the whole piece, because bare teak, weathered teak and previously finished teak all take a tint differently.
Gallon or quart?
The gallon is the container to buy for a full set, a long bench run or several pieces at once. The quart, listed separately, suits one chair, one table or a touch up. Coverage is stated on the container, so work from that figure rather than guessing from the furniture.
How do I apply it?
Follow the directions printed on the container. Surface preparation, coat count and conditions are set by the manufacturer and we are not going to improvise a procedure over the top of them. The surface does need to be clean and dry before you start.
Do I have to treat my teak at all?
No. Untreated teak survives outdoors on its own; left alone it weathers to a silver gray, which is a surface change rather than damage. An oil finish is about appearance. It is what you use if you would rather keep the wood's original tone.
Is this the same as the Teak Protectant?
No. Oxford Garden lists Teak Protectant as a separate item, TKSQ, on the same page of the 2026 price list. They are two different products and we have listed them separately rather than treating one as a variant of the other.
Can I use it on wood that is not teak?
The price list groups it under wood care products without naming a single collection. What it is formulated for is stated on the container label, so check that against your surface before you buy.
Is there a safety data sheet?
Oxford Garden publishes product documentation at oxfordgarden.com. If you need the current sheet before you order, call 631 678-6506 and we will get it to you.
How is it delivered?
By parcel carrier, in a 9" L x 9" W x 10" H carton at 9 lb. Oils ship under the carrier's normal rules for the product, so delivery is to the door like any other package.
