Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Weave. Argento resin wicker, weave code W.R, woven over the aluminum frame. The color runs through the strand rather than sitting on the surface, so a scuff does not expose a pale core. Argento is the only Oxford Garden collection that takes this weave.

Care and Maintenance
Resin wicker. Rinse with a hose and wipe the weave down with mild soap and water. A soft brush gets grit out of the crossings. Skip solvents and abrasive pads, and do not pressure wash the weave.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Is it a footstool or a seat?
Both, in practice. At 16 inches square and 17.75 inches tall it takes an adult sitting upright for a while, and it is the right height to put your feet on in front of an Argento club chair.
Does it come with a cushion?
No. Oxford Garden lists one line for this piece and it does not include a cushion. The top is the woven wicker itself, which is why it can be left out in the rain without thinking about it.
Will it sit level with the Argento club chair?
Close. The ottoman top is 17.75 inches and the club chair seat is 18 inches, a quarter inch apart, which reads as level once a cushion is compressed under you.
What is Argento wicker?
It is Oxford Garden's resin wicker in weave code W.R, a silvered gray strand woven over a powder coated aluminum frame. Oxford Garden restricts this weave to the Argento collection, so nothing else in the catalog comes in it. The color is in the strand, not painted on.
Can it stay outside through the season?
Yes. The frame is powder coated aluminum, which does not rust, and the weave is resin rather than natural cane, so damp does not rot it. Fabric lasts longer if you bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not being used for a stretch.
Can I use it as a side table?
People do. The top is a flat 16 inch square of weave, so a tray on top makes it a drinks table. Glasses set straight onto a woven surface will not sit perfectly flat.
How does it ship?
