The counter height Argento stool, with a 23 inch seat for a 36 inch outdoor counter or island. It is the same woven seat, back and footrail as the bar stool, dropped six inches, and at 29.25 inches overall it tucks under a counter without the backs standing proud.
- 23 inch seat, for a 36 inch counter. Roughly 13 inches of thigh clearance under a standard outdoor counter or island top.
- Low enough to disappear. 29.25 inches overall, so the backs sit below the counter edge and the run of the island stays clean when nobody is sitting there.
- Argento weave over aluminum. Weave code W.R on powder coated aluminum, the same as the chairs and the lounge pieces, so a counter and a dining table can be furnished as one group.
- 10.5 lb. The lightest seat in the collection. Easy to slide out and back with one hand.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Weave. Argento resin wicker, weave code W.R, woven over the aluminum frame. The color runs through the strand rather than sitting on the surface, so a scuff does not expose a pale core. Argento is the only Oxford Garden collection that takes this weave.

Care and Maintenance
Resin wicker. Rinse with a hose and wipe the weave down with mild soap and water. A soft brush gets grit out of the crossings. Skip solvents and abrasive pads, and do not pressure wash the weave.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Counter stool or bar stool?
Measure the top. A 36 inch counter or island takes the counter stool at a 23 inch seat. A 41 to 42 inch bar takes the Argento Bar Stool at 29.25 inches. The two are otherwise the same stool.
Does it come with a cushion?
No. Oxford Garden lists one line for this stool with no cushion option, so the seat is the woven wicker itself. We do not offer a cushion for it because the price list does not carry one.
What is Argento wicker?
It is Oxford Garden's resin wicker in weave code W.R, a silvered gray strand woven over a powder coated aluminum frame. Oxford Garden restricts this weave to the Argento collection, so nothing else in the catalog comes in it. The color is in the strand, not painted on.
Can it stay outside through the season?
Yes. The frame is powder coated aluminum, which does not rust, and the weave is resin rather than natural cane, so damp does not rot it. Fabric lasts longer if you bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not being used for a stretch.
Will the backs clear my counter?
The stool stands 29.25 inches to the top of the back. Against a 36 inch counter the back sits almost seven inches below the edge, so the stools push all the way in and the counter line stays unbroken.
Can I order a single stool?
Yes. Oxford Garden lists it as orderable singly or in packs of two, so one stool is a normal order.
How does it ship?
By parcel carrier. A single stool is 19 lb in a carton of 31 by 25 by 21 inches, so it arrives at the door without a freight appointment.
Does it match the Argento dining chairs?
Yes. Same weave code W.R, same powder coated aluminum, same detailing. A counter run and a dining table read as one set.
