Argento Collection
Argento Armchair
A woven dining armchair on a powder coated aluminum frame, 26 inches across the arms and 18 inches to the seat. The back and sides are Argento resin wicker, so the chair reads as a woven piece rather than a metal frame with a pad dropped into it. A seat cushion is included in the fabric you choose.
- Built to pull up to a table. 18 inch seat height and 34 inches of overall height, which clears the apron on a standard 29 inch dining table and still gives the sitter a back to lean on.
- Argento weave over aluminum. Argento resin wicker over a powder coated aluminum frame. The aluminum carries the load and does not rust; the weave does the looking.
- Three cushion fabrics, one cushion. Bliss Linen, solution dyed polyester in five colors, or any other Sunbrella fabric made to order. The cushion itself does not change.
- Light enough to move. 18 lb for the chair. Rearranging a table of six is not a two person job.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Weave. Argento resin wicker, woven over the aluminum frame. The color runs through the strand rather than sitting on the surface, so a scuff does not expose a pale core. Argento is the only Oxford Garden collection that takes this weave.
Cushions. Solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fiber before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.
What Is Included
- One Argento Armchair, powder coated aluminum frame with Argento resin wicker

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not in use for long stretches.
Resin wicker. Rinse with a hose and wipe the weave down with mild soap and water. A soft brush gets grit out of the crossings. Skip solvents and abrasive pads, and do not pressure wash the weave.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the cushion included?
Yes. The Argento Armchair is sold with its seat cushion, in the fabric you pick, and the chair ships complete.
What is the difference between the cushion fabrics?
Only the cloth. Construction and dimensions are identical. Bliss Linen is the Sunbrella acrylic Oxford Garden stocks for Argento. The solution dyed polyester comes in five colors. Any other Sunbrella fabric is made to order.
Can I choose any Sunbrella fabric?
Yes. Tell us the Sunbrella fabric you want and we will confirm it with Oxford Garden before the order goes in.
Will these fit under my table?
The seat sits 18 inches off the ground and the chair is 26 inches wide at the arms. That suits a table with roughly 24 to 25 inches of clearance under the apron, which covers most dining tables at the usual 29 inch height. Allow 26 inches of table edge per chair.
Why does the carton hold two chairs?
Oxford Garden cartons this armchair two to a box. If you want four around a table, that is two cartons.
What is Argento wicker?
It is Oxford Garden's silvered gray resin wicker, woven over a powder coated aluminum frame. Oxford Garden restricts this weave to the Argento collection, so nothing else in the catalog comes in it. The color is in the strand, not painted on.
Can it stay outside through the season?
Yes. The frame is powder coated aluminum, which does not rust, and the weave is resin rather than natural cane, so damp does not rot it. Fabric lasts longer if you bring cushions in or cover them when the piece is not being used for a stretch.
Can I mix it with the Argento side chair?
Yes, and it is the usual arrangement. The side chair shares the same 18 inch seat height and the same weave, so armchairs at the ends and side chairs down the length sit level and match.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton measures 31 by 31 by 27 inches, past what parcel carriers take. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window.
