The Osburn Inspire 2000-I (OB02045) is a non-catalytic wood insert for an existing masonry fireplace, rated for 500 to 2,100 sq ft with a maximum heat output of 75,000 BTU/h. It has a modern look with a wide 20 1/4" x 9 1/2" ceramic glass view and a 2.4 cu ft firebox for logs up to 20" long. It burns up to 8 hours and comes with a 176 CFM blower. You choose one of three faceplates to finish it.

Masonry fireplaces only.Osburn forbids installing the Inspire in a factory-built fireplace. It goes only inside a masonry fireplace with a lined masonry chimney, and it is not approved for mobile homes or alcoves. A certified installer or your local building official should check the installation before the first fire.

Questions people ask us

Which faceplate do I need?

A faceplate is required and sold separately. Osburn offers three for the Inspire: a 30" x 25 1/8" narrow U-shaped faceplate, a 30" x 26 7/8" narrow 4-sided faceplate and a 32" x 50" cuttable faceplate. Find them in the trims and fronts collection.

What is the NightFlame glass option?

Osburn offers a semi-transparent black ceramic glass with a NightFlame effect that hides the firebox when the fire is out. It is an option, sold separately.

Can the Inspire go in a factory-built fireplace?

No. Osburn states that its wood-burning inserts must only be installed inside an existing masonry fireplace with a lined masonry chimney, never in a factory-built (zero clearance) fireplace or any wooden or combustible structure.

Is the blower included?

Yes, a 176 CFM blower comes with the insert, along with the cold hand handle.

Will it fit my fireplace?
