Napoleon Entice Wall-Hanging Electric Fireplace
A slim, nearly frameless 36 inch flame that is only 5 7/16 inches deep. The Entice 36 hangs on the wall, sits partly in it or goes fully recessed, with a built-in heater, a color-changing flame and ember bed, and a remote. It plugs into a standard 120 V outlet.
Wall mounted, partly recessed or fully recessed. The framing depth for each is in the table above, and the wiring is the same either way.

Questions people ask us
Can I hang it on the wall, or recess it?
Either. Napoleon lists three installs: wall mounted, partly recessed and fully recessed. Wall mounted, the side and top trims and side panels go on. Partly recessed uses the trims but not the side panels. Fully recessed uses neither. Screw the bracket into studs where you can, with the hooks facing up and the bracket level.
What power does it need?
A dedicated 15 amp grounded 120 V circuit. It ships with a cord and plug. A qualified electrician can remove the cord and hardwire it through the junction box on the bottom left side. Napoleon does not permit extension cords or power strips.
Can I mount a TV above it?
Napoleon's manual warns that elevated temperatures on the wall or in the air above the appliance can damage a TV or other electronic components. Napoleon's manual gives 4″ from the top of the appliance to a ceiling or mantel. Check your TV maker's guidance as well as the clearance chart in Napoleon's manual. If you want a second opinion on your wall, send us the dimensions.
How much heat does it put out?
The heater runs at up to 1,465 W on a 120 V circuit. It has low and high heat, a blower-only setting and a thermostat from 64 to 82°F. Think of it as supplemental heat. The flame has its own brightness control, so you can run it with the heat off.
What can I do with the flame colors?
The flame comes in ten colors and the ember bed in ten, and each has a color-cycle setting. Brightness has four levels and the flame has five speeds. All of it runs from the remote.
What comes in the flame bed, and can I change it?
Acrylic crystals come with it. Napoleon also offers optional birch and driftwood log sets and glass embers for the Entice. Tell us your size and we will confirm the right kit before you order.
Where can I install it?
Indoors only. Napoleon's manual says not to use it outdoors and to choose a location that is not prone to moisture. Its rating plate lists it as suitable for bedroom and bed-sitting room installation. Please check with us before planning a bathroom install.
