Napoleon's Cineview specification sheet (W415-2946) lists this trim kit for the NEFB26H. Tick it to add it with the fireplace in one step. It is optional, because the fireplace has its own self-trimming flange.
Questions people ask us
Does it recess into the wall, or can I hang it?
It is a recessed appliance. Napoleon's manual has it set into a framed opening and secured with one screw through the mounting tab. The flange trims the front on its own. If you want a bigger surround, or you are fitting it into an old opening, Napoleon sells 3 and 4 piece trim kits.
What power does it need?
A dedicated 15 amp grounded 120 V circuit. It plugs into an outlet box by default. A qualified electrician can hardwire it instead. Napoleon does not permit extension cords.
Can I mount a TV above it?
Napoleon's manual warns that elevated temperatures on the wall or in the air above the appliance can damage a TV or other electronic components. Napoleon's manual lists 0″ clearance to a mantel above the unit, which is a clearance for the wall material and not a TV height. Check your TV maker's guidance as well as the clearance chart in Napoleon's manual. If you want a second opinion on your wall, send us the dimensions.
How much heat does it put out?
The heater is 1,465 W at 120 V, and Napoleon lists it at 5,000 BTU. It has a thermostat, a blower-only setting, an ECO mode that runs at half heat and a BOOST mode that runs at maximum heat for 10, 20 or 30 minutes. The flame has its own control, so you can run it with the heat off.
How do I control it?
Use the touch control panel on the unit or the remote, which takes a button battery. You can set flame color and brightness, flame speed, ember bed color, heat, thermostat and a timer from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
What is in the flame bed?
Logs and black crystal media come in the box. The small crystals go on the media tray under the grate, the logs sit on the grate and the large crystals go over the small ones.
Where can I install it?
Indoors only. Napoleon's manual says not to use it outdoors and to choose a location that is not prone to moisture. Its rating plate lists it as suitable for bedroom and bed-sitting room installation. Please check with us before planning a bathroom install.
