The Napoleon Ascent Linear Premium is a direct vent natural gas linear fireplace, listed here in 42, 46 and 56 inch sizes as models BLX42NTE, BLX46NTE and BLX56NTE. Each one comes with electronic ignition, a premium safety barrier, a heat circulating blower, top lights, the NIGHT LIGHT system and an eFIRE controller with remote. You finish the fire with a log set or media kit of your choice, which Napoleon lists as required to complete the unit.

Questions people ask us

Does it come with logs?

No. Napoleon lists a log set or media kit as required to complete the unit. Choices include Birch, High Definition Driftwood and Split Oak logs, a Beach Fire kit, Shore Fire and Woodland kits, Mineral Rocks, and glass beads or embers in several colors.

Can it run on propane?

These are the natural gas models. Napoleon offers propane by conversion kit, so ask us for the kit that matches your size.

Which vent size does it use?

The 42 and 46 use 4" exhaust / 7" intake direct vent pipe. The 56 uses 5" / 8". The installation manual lists the wall, roof and flexible vent kits for each size.

Can I put a TV above it?

Napoleon designed the series with TVs in mind. Optional Universal Heat Management and a Hot Air Distribution Kit are offered for the 42, 46 and 56 to manage heat and clearances above the opening. Follow the mantel and wall clearances in the installation manual.

Is there a trim for the edges?

Yes. Napoleon offers an adjustable 4-piece 5/8" black finishing trim in each size for installations that need more coverage.
