The Majestic Vesper is an outdoor vent-free gas firebox with a 27 inch tall opening, 36 or 42 inches wide, lined in herringbone or traditional brick. It needs no venting or chimney and is built to take a separately listed vent-free burner, such as Majestic's Lumonessen outdoor burner, with a Mezmer or Mountain Oak log set. It can stand alone or be built into a wall.

The burner and logs are separate.The Vesper is a firebox. It needs a separately listed vent-free burner and log set, and its hood must stay installed. Majestic defines an outdoor space as walls on all sides with no overhead cover, a covered area with no more than two side walls, or a covered area with three side walls when at least 30% of the perimeter is permanently open. Majestic fireplaces should be installed by a qualified, certified installer. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

What burner goes in it?

Majestic lists the Lumonessen outdoor burner, LUM-OD-NM for natural gas or LUM-OD-PM for propane. Ask us and we will quote the right one for your fuel.

Which logs fit?

Majestic pairs the Vesper with Mezmer, Mezmer Split and Mountain Oak log sets. See gas log sets or ask us which size suits your firebox.

Does it need a chimney?

No. It is a vent-free outdoor firebox. It must sit in an outdoor space as Majestic defines it.

Can I burn wood in it?

No. The manual says do not build a wood fire in the Vesper.
