Questions people ask us

Is an interior panel kit required on the Marquis II?

Majestic's price book lists a front and an interior refractory as required to complete the Marquis II 36 and 42, sold separately. You choose brick (these kits) or black glass.

Which kit fits my fireplace?

Read the model on the rating plate. MARQ36IN-B takes BRICKMQ36HB-B, MARQ42IN-B takes BRICKMQ42HB-B or BRICKMQ42TB-B, and the see-through MARQ42STIN takes BRICKMQ42STTB or BRICKMQ42STCR.

Is there a traditional Tavern Brown kit for the Marquis II 36?

Majestic makes one (BRICKMQ36TB-B). We list the 36 in herringbone; ask us if you want the traditional version.

Can I install them myself?

Majestic supplies separate installation instructions with each kit. If you are not comfortable working inside the firebox, have your hearth installer fit them. Always make sure the fireplace is off and cool first.
