The Majestic Castlewood 42 (ODCASTLEWD-42-C) is an outdoor wood-burning fireplace with a 38 inch tall firebox, listed to UL 127 and CAN/ULC-S610. It runs on the SL1100 chimney and takes refractory panels or hand-laid firebrick, sold separately. It is built to anchor an outdoor living room.

What interior options are there?

Traditional or herringbone refractory panels, or firebrick stacked and mortared by hand in soap or split styles, cream, red or black. All are sold separately. See brick panels.

Do I need a drain pan?

Majestic recommends the ODCASTLEWD-42DP drain pan where water may collect in the firebox.

Can it burn gas?

A certified decorative gas log set or gas log lighter may be installed, up to 100,000 BTU/h. See gas log sets.
