The Majestic CAK8A is a chimney air kit for Hearth & Home Technologies factory-built fireplaces, tested and listed to UL 127 and ULC S610. An air box sits on top of the fireplace around the chimney pipe, and a 4 inch duct brings outside air to it from an inlet hood on an outside wall. Check that CAK8A is the kit your fireplace manual calls for.

Which fireplaces use CAK8A?

The kit is listed for specified Hearth & Home Technologies fireplaces, and your fireplace installation manual names the right kit: CAK4A, CAK5A or CAK8A. Send us your model and we will check it.

How long can the duct run be?

Up to 20 feet of 4 inch Class 1 duct, or up to 40 feet using 6 inch duct with a 4 to 6 inch adapter, which is not included. Insulated duct is strongly recommended in colder climates.

Where does the outside air hood go?

No lower than 4 feet above ground. In a chase, at least 3 feet below the top of the chimney. A 4-3/4 inch hole is enough for the wall opening.
