The Majestic Biltmore is an open hearth wood-burning fireplace in 36, 42 and 50 inch sizes, listed to UL 127 and ULC-S610. It runs on the SL1100 chimney with an outside air kit and takes herringbone or traditional refractory, sold separately. We list models BILT36, BILT42 and BILT50.

Majestic wood-burning fireplaces should be installed by a qualified, certified installer to the instructions and local codes. If you add a gas log set, a licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Which refractory do I need?

Pick traditional or herringbone in Natural Gray, Black Onyx or Masonry Brown, sized to the fireplace. It is required and ships separately. See brick panels.

What chimney does it use?

The SL1100 series in the US, with at least 18 ft of straight chimney and up to 90 ft. See chimney and venting.

Can it burn gas logs?

Yes. A certified decorative gas log set or gas log lighter can be installed up to 100,000 BTU/h, with the damper locked fully open. See gas log sets.

Which doors fit?

Majestic offers a glass bi-fold door and Grand Vista mesh doors for the Biltmore. See doors and screens.
