The Majestic Ashland is an open hearth wood-burning fireplace in 36, 42 and 50 inch sizes, with a flush hearth that sits level with the floor. It is listed to UL 127 and runs on Majestic's SL1100 series chimney with outside air on both sides. Models ASH36-B, ASH42-B and ASH50-B take herringbone or traditional brick interiors and can also carry a decorative gas log set.

Order the refractory and hearth extension with it.The Ashland ships without its interior panels, and a hearth extension is required. Majestic wood-burning fireplaces should be installed by a qualified, certified installer to the instructions and local codes. If you add a gas log set, a licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Questions people ask us

What interior can I choose?

Majestic offers herringbone or traditional brick panels in Antler Velvet, Black Onyx, Masonry Brown and Natural Gray, or soap or split firebrick in cream, red or black. The refractory is required and sold separately. See brick panels.

What chimney does it use?

The SL1100 series chimney, 11 in. inside and 13 in. outside diameter. The Ashland 36 manual calls for at least 18 ft of straight chimney and allows up to 90 ft. See chimney and venting.

Can I put gas logs in it?

Yes. A certified gas log lighter or decorative gas log set can be installed, up to 100,000 BTU/h, with the damper locked fully open. See gas log sets.

Are doors available?

Majestic offers a glass bi-fold door for the Ashland, with a black finish option. See doors and screens.
