The Heat & Glo TMP-MED-REC is a metal finishing template for wood fireplaces with a rectangular door, including the Heat & Glo Northstar-D and Pioneer-II. It stands in for the fascia while stone or other decorative material is installed, and protects the fireplace front during the work.

Remove it before you fire the unit.The template comes off once the decorative material is finished, and the fascia and doors go back on. Do not overtighten the screws, and store the fascia where it will not be scratched.

Which fireplaces is it for?
Heat & Glo's instructions cover the Pioneer-II and Northstar-D wood fireplaces. This is the rectangular door version.
Why use it?
It gives the mason an exact edge to finish to, 1/8 in. larger than the fascia, and protects the fireplace front.
