The Heat & Glo PVI-SLP-B is an inline power vent from Hearth & Home Technologies that installs in the SLP vent run of a top vented gas fireplace. A fan pulls the exhaust through the venting, so the run can go up, down, over or under to reach the termination. It is for listed fireplaces with IPI (IntelliFire) or IntelliFire Touch controls and runs on 120 VAC. Part number PVI-SLP-B.

Power vents are for listed IPI or IntelliFire Touch fireplaces only.Fireplaces with millivolt gas controls cannot use HHT power vents. Install the power vent and venting as its instructions and the fireplace manual show and to local codes. A licensed electrician should make the 120 VAC supply where required, and a licensed gas professional should handle the gas appliance work.

Questions people ask us

Will it work on my fireplace?

The instructions carry tables of approved Heat & Glo models with IPI or IntelliFire Touch controls. Millivolt fireplaces cannot use it. Send us your model and serial number and we will check the table.

What else do I need?

HHT power vents need a matching control setup: a PV-IPI-CK kit on IntelliFire and IntelliFire Plus (IPI) fireplaces, or the IFT-ACM with an IntelliFire Touch remote on IFT fireplaces, plus a PVI wire harness. Send us your model and we will list exactly what yours needs.

How far can the vent run?

Up to 140 ft total, with up to six 90 degree or twelve 45 degree elbows. The allowed length drops 2 ft for every 1 ft of vertical drop, and the run must meet the minimums in the tables.

Does it need an access panel?

In spaces under 250 cubic feet the instructions call for an access hole. The framed access hole is 8 x 16 in. minimum, 12 x 17 in. recommended.

Which caps can I use?

The instructions list the SLP-TVHW, SLP-LPC, SLP-TRAP, SLP-HHW2, SLP-HRC-SS, SLP-HRC-ZC-SS and SLP-TB1 caps.
