The Heat & Glo GFK-160A is a fan kit with a variable speed control and a temperature sensor switch for Heat & Glo gas fireplaces and inserts. The sensor starts the fan at about 110°F and keeps it running after the fire is off until the firebox cools. It runs on 120 VAC from the receptacle in the fireplace junction box.

Does the fan come on by itself?
Yes. The temperature sensor switch turns it on at about 110°F and keeps it running after the fireplace shuts off until the firebox cools. You can also turn it off manually.
What power does it need?
120 VAC, 60 Hz, through the receptacle in the factory-installed junction box. The junction box must be wired for 110 VAC before the fan is installed.
Will the speed knob work with my remote?
Heat & Glo notes that some remote control systems do not use the speed control or sensor. Tell us which remote you have and we will check.
