The Heat & Glo Folio is a decorative barrier front in Black for the 6K and 8K Series gas fireplaces, including the Modern versions. It frames the fireplace opening with a clean, simple surround and a mesh screen in front of the glass. Order FOLIO-6-BK for 6K size fireplaces or FOLIO-8-BK for 8K size fireplaces.

The front is the safety barrier.Heat & Glo says these fireplaces need an installed decorative barrier front to keep hands off the hot viewing glass. Never run the fireplace with the front removed, and keep combustible materials from overlapping or sitting behind it.

Questions people ask us

Which size do I need?

Use FOLIO-6-BK on a 6K, 6KL, 6KX or 6KMOD and FOLIO-8-BK on an 8K, 8KL, 8KX or 8KMOD. The model is on the rating plate of the fireplace.

Is this the ClearVue version?

No. Heat & Glo makes the Folio with or without ClearVue mesh. This listing is the standard Folio (FOLIO-6 and FOLIO-8). The ClearVue versions carry FOLIOCV part numbers.

Do I need the finishing strips that came with the fireplace?

No. Heat & Glo's Folio instructions say finishing strips are not used with these fronts. If your fireplace shipped with them, remove them from the control cavity and discard them.

How do I clean it?

Heat & Glo recommends cleaning a new front right after installation with a microfiber cloth and an approved glass cleaner, then once a year, to keep installer residue and fingerprints from marking the paint.
