Questions people ask us

Which orifice do I need?

Use OAS-NG on natural gas and OAS-LP on propane. OAS-LP12 is the propane orifice Grand Canyon rates at 300K BTU for 30" to 48" fire rings, and it includes 3/4" connections.

Which orifice does my Grand Canyon fire bowl use?

Grand Canyon's fire bowl manual lists one orifice per bowl: OAS-NG for natural gas or OAS-LP for propane.

How is it installed?

The fire bowl manual has the orifice threaded onto the pipe nipple under the round burner using pipe dope or Teflon tape. A licensed gas professional should do the gas work and leak test it.

Can I drill out an orifice to change fuel?

No. Grand Canyon says orifices are specific to the gas type and BTU rating and should not be modified. Order the orifice made for your fuel.

Not sure which one fits?

Send us your burner or fire bowl model and gas type and we will confirm the orifice.
