View full details

The Grand Canyon GlowFire Aspen Birch Charred is a vented gas log set with white bark logs, sold as logs only, in 18 and 24 inch sizes. GlowFire logs are ceramic refractory logs with built-in fuel ports: Grand Canyon says each log is individually orificed and ported so gas flows out of the log itself, giving a layered flame with fewer BTUs. The set sits on a Grand Canyon Lava burner in the matching size, sold separately. Part numbers GFBRC18 and GFBRC24.

Questions people ask us

What is GlowFire?

GlowFire is Grand Canyon's ported log design. Each ceramic refractory log is individually orificed and ported, so the gas flows out of the logs themselves. Grand Canyon says this gives a deep, layered flame with fewer BTUs, and that the ceramic logs radiate more heat than traditional concrete logs.

Does this include the burner?

No. This is the log set only. GlowFire logs run on the Grand Canyon Lava front view burner in the same size, which comes with lava rock, embers and a flex line. See the Grand Canyon burners.

Does it come in larger sizes?

Grand Canyon also makes the GlowFire Aspen Birch Charred in 30" and 36" (GFBRC30, GFBRC36), each with 10 logs. Ask us if you need one of those sizes.

How big a fireplace do I need?

For the 18" Lava burner Grand Canyon lists a minimum firebox of 28" front, 18" rear, 16" deep and 22" high. The 24" needs 34" front, 24" rear, 16" deep and 22" high.

Is it natural gas or propane?

The fuel is set by the Lava burner, which Grand Canyon makes in natural gas and propane versions, so no field conversion is needed. Ask us to pair the right one.
