Questions people ask us

Does the see-through burner come with logs?

No. This is the burner kit only, logs not included. The kit comes with lava rock, embers, vermiculite, a flex line, the gas inlet fitting and a damper clamp. Pick a Grand Canyon see-through log set in the same width.

What else do I need to make it work?

A valve or ignition kit, sold separately. See the Grand Canyon ignition kits, or choose the assembled 2 Burner See Through, which ships with the control system factory installed.

Which size fits my see-through fireplace?

Compare your firebox with the Grand Canyon chart above. For example, the 36 inch burner needs at least 48" front width, 16" depth, 48" back width and 14" height. With the battery electronic (MVKEI) control, Grand Canyon lists a larger firebox, such as 42" front and back width for the 24".

What is the stainless steel version for?

Grand Canyon builds the -SS versions in stainless steel for outdoor use. The stainless manual approves them for installation outdoors under a patio cover, away from direct water contact and direct sunlight. The patio roof overhang must be at least 50% of the roof height measured from the bottom of the fireplace, and the base of the fireplace at least 2 inches above the floor. Grand Canyon builds the stainless see-through burners to special order, with a lead time of about 2 to 3 weeks.
