The Grand Canyon 01-00343 is the 6V D-cell battery pack for the Lava Burner Front View VEN and VEP models, which use the SIT Proflame 1 control system. The pack holds four D-cell batteries, plugs into the burner wiring harness and sits on the right side of the burner inside the fireplace under its heat shield.

How is it installed?
Grand Canyon's D-cell instructions: take out the logs and media, shut off and disconnect the gas, lift the burner out, connect the pack to the 6V connector harness, refit the heat shield, then place the pack on the right side of the burner and reconnect and leak test.
What batteries does it use?
Four D-cell batteries. Replace the AA and AAA batteries in the system at the same time, as the instructions advise.
Which burners use it?
The Lava Burner Front View VEN and VEP models with SIT Proflame 1.
